Indian Hills Art Gallery
The Indian Hills Community College Art Gallery on the Ottumwa Campus continually houses some of the finest art in southeast Iowa. The gallery hosts national traveling exhibits, as well as works created by local artists, including Indian Hills Community College faculty and students, and Ottumwa High School students.
Opened in 1985 and located in the Library building, the Art Gallery schedules seven to eight exhibitions a year. Exhibits feature artwork from noted regional and national artists, as well as student art.
The IHCC Art Gallery is actively seeking exhibition proposals from practicing artists or entities with private collections. Accepted proposals will be awarded a $1500 stipend for exhibiting. It is the responsibility of accepted artists to make travel arrangements for their work.

Art Tours
The Indian Hills Fine Arts Department sponsors tours to Chicago and Kansas City twice a year. Tour participants visit major art museums or sites of aesthetic interest. Every trip also includes additional options, such as earning college credit, taking part in walking tours, and participating in sketching trips. Often, there are also opportunities for a portion of the group to accompany a member of the drama faculty to view a performance at an area theater. There is always free time for shopping and sight-seeing.
Soup for the Arts
The Soup for the Arts is a Scholarship Dinner Event which will help raise money for Indian Hills Community College students! Each participant will receive a bowl, along with all-they-can-eat soup from local restaurants, as well as rolls, dessert, and drink.
