Indian Hills Community College and Ottumwa Health Group have partnered to bring on-campus medical services to Indian Hills students and staff. The more than 4,000 IHCC students along with hundreds of staff members will be able to take full advantage of the variety of services provided by Ottumwa Health Group, with those services offered on Indian Hills’ main campus in Ottumwa.
“Indian Hills wants to continue to provide easy access to health care services for our students, many of whom are far from home,” said Dr. Marlene Sprouse, president of Indian Hills. “This on-campus clinic allows our students to feel better faster and get back to classes and activities. When students get prompt treatment of ailments that can be easily spread on a large campus like ours, it can also help prevent a broader outbreak of some diseases.”
The Indian Hills Clinic, located on the first floor of Trustee Hall on the main campus, is focused on treating students as well as staff and their families. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“We are happy to be able to work with Indian Hills and provide services on their main campus,” said Mike Griffin, Director of Practice Management for Ottumwa Health Group. “We want to provide convenient access to health care for the communities we serve and this is one more way we can help people get quality care close to home.”
