 In diesel tech, you will acquire skills in a variety of mechanical, electrical and computer systems necessary to diagnose, repair and maintain agricultural equipment, trucks, locomotive engines and other types of heavy construction equipment. You will study diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and so much more!

 Here’s a brief overview of our Diesel Technology program.

What you will learn:
  • Rebuilding and troubleshooting diesel/or locomotive engines
  • Rebuilding and troubleshooting mechanical components
  • Interpret electrical prints and doing electrical/electronic system troubleshooting
  • Diagnosing computerized systems necessary to repair malfunctions
  • Maintaining agricultural equipment, trucks, and other types of heavy construction equipment
  • Developing skills in transmissions diagnostic and repair
  • Interpret hydraulic prints and symbols to diagnose and to do repair on hydraulic systems
  • Diagnosing drivelines and power dividers
  • Studying air brakes systems and troubleshooting their malfunctions
  • Diagnosing air conditioning systems
  • Studying and understanding how GPS GIS and other GPS systems work
  • Servicing and diagnosing GPS equipment
