Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)
The Aviation Maintenance program at Indian Hills Community College is a 21-month, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved program designed to provide students with hands-on training using the latest tools, technologies, and industry practices in aircraft maintenance. Graduates earn an associate degree from Indian Hills and have the opportunity to obtain both FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications without leaving campus. These credentials qualify technicians to inspect, maintain, and repair all types of U.S.-based aircraft, opening the door to career opportunities across the United States and around the world. The Aviation Maintenance program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and certifications needed to launch a fun, exciting, and life-changing career in aviation.

Indian Hills has articulation agreements and transfer plans with many four-year colleges and universities. However, not all credits are guaranteed to transfer because of differences in programs and requirements among various institutions. An Academic Advisor will also assist you in your future academic plans.
The first step in order to receive financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Complete and submit the FAFSA online. It is important to file the FAFSA as soon after October 1st as possible to ensure you receive priority processing.
