Whether you’re ready to jump start your Life.Changing. career as a Pharmacy Technician or you just want to take the first steps toward a career as a Pharmacist, we have the program for you at Indian Hills! Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording medication dosages, verifying prescriptions from physicians, and maintaining patient records and insurance information under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist in a hospital or retail pharmacy. Pharmacists and patients will be relying on you, and that can be Life.Changing!

After completing the program, you will be eligible to sit for the nationally-accredited Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).

 

What you will learn:
  • Fill prescriptions
  • Handle over-the-counter (OTC) products
  • Maintain medication administration records
  • Compound oral, topical and sterile products and suppositories
  • Utilize appropriate interpersonal skills when speaking with customers
