Fall Term 2015 Kick-Off
Are you ready to start off your fall term at Indian Hills? Whether you're continuing your program, or you're a brand new student, we have lots of fun activites planned for you! Click here to browse through the lineup of what's in store for Fall 2015 Welcome Week!
Nine athletic teams offer men and women the opportunity to participate in intercollegiate competition. The basketball, men's & women's cross country, golf, men's & women's soccer, softball, and volleyball teams are based on the Ottumwa Campus and the baseball squad practices and plays on the Centerville Campus.
Informal co–ed athletic competitions planned around student interests and contributing to the physical, social, and education growth of students. Intramurals are offered year–round and include play in sports such as basketball, disc golf, flag football, ping pong, racquetball, softball, volleyball, and more.
Try out for the opportunity to participate in a full–length theater production. Past playbills include: FAME, Romeo and Juliet, and Sweeny Todd, to name a few. Toot your own horn, or sing higher than the mountains and be a part of the Camerata Singers, Bridge City Explosion, the Jazz Band, or the Warrior Basketball Band.
Indian Hills has a number of oulets for artistic expression. Have your artwork featured in the Indian Hills Art Gallery, which hosts some of the finest art exhibits. Take part in one of several poetry readings, featuring students and faculty, and get published in the annual Hills Review: The Journal of Student Poetry.
Fine Arts Trips
“Road trip with my classmates while earning college credit?” Yes! The Fine Arts Department offers several exciting excursions throughout the year. In the past, they have explored Chicago, Kansas City, Memphis, Minneapolis, and St. Louis, among others. Get on board for the next trip. Trips are open to all students!
Indian Hills has over 35 clubs and student organizations on campus. From the Disc Golf Club, to the Skeleton Crew, or the Aero Club, you're sure to find a group that's the perfect fit for you! Plus, many of these clubs offer scholarships!

The Student Senate organizes and coordinates many of the student activities at Indian Hills. Representatives to the Student Senate are elected by fellow students and meet bi–monthly to discuss campus concerns and plan activities. Senate membership is open to all students.
Several activities are held throughout this special week and weekend.
The election of Homecoming royalty, 5K Race/Walk, Casino Night, Rock the Net student volleyball tournament, car show, concerts, game shows, and a variety of intercollegiate sporting events help make this jam–packed event one of the best!
In addition to regularly scheduled campus events, Indian Hills has many student activities planned throughout the academic year, whether you're looking to take a break from studying or relax with friends. Talent shows, movies, artists, dances, hypnotists, and various contests and games compete to fill your schedule!
Meal time is not “just another meal” at Indian Hills. Our dining facilities provide comfortable spaces to feast, not only on delicious food, but also on engaging ideas, as you interact with fellow students and professors. And when you're on–the–go, be sure to visit The Hills Café, for coffee drinks and snacks that hit the spot.
