map of Area 15 in southeast IowaIndian Hills Community College is one of 15 community colleges in the state of Iowa. Founded in 1966, the district includes 10 counties in southeast Iowa:

Although these counties make up IHCC's primary service area, students come to the college from all over the state of Iowa, across the nation, and even from around the globe.

IHCC has two main campuses - in Ottumwa and Centerville - and the original campus located at the Ottumwa Industrial Airport. In addition, Indian Hills has built County Service Centers in each of the county seat towns in the area that don't have a main campus.

More than 3,400 students are currently enrolled in the arts and sciences, technical education and health programs at IHCC

Students can begin taking classes four times a year - at the beginning of fall (August), winter (November), spring (February), and summer (May) terms. These "four points of entry" allow for greater flexibility in meeting the needs of all students. Check with the dean or coordinator of the program you're interested in to determine when the best time will be for you continue your educational journey.
