Indian
Hills Community College (IHCC) is pleased to announce the opening of
a Community Education Center (CEC). This center is available
as an opportunity to support our community through education.
The CEC provides learning services and
scheduled classes at NO COST.
The
CEC houses more than 30
new computers with wireless internet access, Microsoft and
educational software, 10 laptop computers, a scanner and a fully
equipped Education Center at 707 Church Street in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Generally, the site will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and some Saturdays.
We
are here to support the students in their educational goals through
a variety of classes at no charge.
Our center does provide educational instruction for: the
non-English speaking populace, families
with children, individuals without high school diplomas and others needing
essential training to complete their personal goals. The CEC
provides access to technology and training that allows students to
become literate, informed, citizens and trained users of technology.
We view the following courses as stepping stones for new students to
see their own potential for learning.
