Two IHCC teams qualify as Academic All-Americans
(July 2) -- Two Indian Hills Community College spring sports teams have qualified as Academic All-American teams for 2007. Both the Warrior golf and softball teams surpassed the minimum grade point average of 3.2 to be considered for the academic honor.
The Indian Hills golf team had a team GPA of 3.31 for the spring term. The IHCC softball squad's GPA for the spring term was 3.30. It's the eighth year in a row that the Warrior softball team has been named an Academic All-American team.
The golf and softball teams join the Warrior volleyball team in qualifying for the academic accolades. The IHCC volleyball team qualified as an Academic All-American squad last fall.
