The IHCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation and welcomes the support of benefactors.

The Indian Hills Community College Foundation was organized in 1973 and initiated a district-wide fundraising campaign in 1975. The sole mission of the Foundation is to provide scholarships for students at IHCC, helping them improve their quality of life. We consider this an investment in the future of southern Iowa.

The IHCC Foundation provides scholarships amounting to more than $700,000 annually to hundreds of students. Since 1975, nearly 13,500 students have received scholarships totaling more than $7.5 million. In fiscal year 2007, the Foundation awarded $756,278 in scholarships to 495 students.

Indian Hills' staff and faculty strongly support the Foundation. For the third consecutive year 100% of full-time employees made an annual donation to the Foundation.

The IHCC Foundation accepts and manages gifts and donations for the betterment of the college and its students, and it provides the appropriate tax advantages for the donor. Contributions are deductible on the itemized State of Iowa and federal income tax returns to the extent allowable by law.

IHCC Foundation Board Members

The IHCC Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of people who have expressed an interest and desire to use their leadership skills and time on behalf of IHCC through the Foundation. The members of this board serve without compensation and are responsible for the management of all properties and/or monies conveyed to the Foundation.
