Occupational Therapy Assistant

Occupational Therapy AssistantOccupational Therapy Assistants are licensed health care providers who work with, and under the supervision of occupational therapists, to administer treatments to patients/clients. Treatments include hands–on services to children and adults who are learning new ways to succeed in the activities of daily living. Employment opportunities are expected to increase dramatically and include hospitals, clinics, mental health clinics, school systems, home health agencies, and long term care centers.

This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, Suite 200, Bethesda, MD  20814-3449. After program completion, graduates will be eligible to take the national certification examination for occupational therapy assistants administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
