Focus Area: Psychology

The Psychology focus area provides an excellent foundation for you to transfer to a four–year institution to earn a degree with a major in psychology or counseling. The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills, gaining insights into human behavior, and increasing interpersonal knowledge. Career possibilities depend on educational level and can range from paraprofessional service positions in academic settings like teaching, counseling, or research, or in applied settings such as hospitals, mental health clinics, corrections, and business and industry.
