Focus Area: Pre-Professional
The Pre-Professional focus area provides a foundation for anyone interested in the professional fields of chiropractic, dentistry, law, medicine, mortuary science, optometry, osteopathy, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine. If you are interested in transferring to a four-year institution in order to pursue a baccalaureate degree or advanced degrees in any of these professional fields, you can prepare by completing these recommended courses. Please note that the course plans vary slightly for each area. The Pre-Professional plan provides a good foundation for any of the professional fields listed. However, if you are interested in a specific career path, it is a good idea to follow the recommended plan for that field. Students interested in Pre-Law should follow a course plan for the English/Literature, Political Science, or Business focus areas.
