Focus Area: Education (Elementary, Secondary, Physical)

The Education focus area has three areas: Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Physical Education. If you are pursuing a degree in education, you can usually expect to find work as a teacher at the elementary or secondary level. Further career options include guidance counselor, educational consultant, educational administration, coaching and other careers connected to both public and private school systems. After graduation, you will be prepared to transfer to a four–year institution with skills necessary to pursuing a major in early childhood, elementary, or secondary education.
