Focus Area: Chemistry
The Chemistry focus area provides a foundation for students interested in chemistry, whether you are interested in employment in a chemistry field such as a laboratory technician or in transferring to a four-year institution to pursue advanced degrees in chemistry. Your courses will prepare you to use and understand facts, concepts, and theories about chemistry, use various techniques and tools in the lab and in the field, use the scientific process, employ analytic and problem-solving skills, and apply your skills in real world applications.
