Focus Area: Biology

BiologyThe Biology focus area provides a foundation for students interested in the life sciences. Your courses will prepare you to use and understand biology facts, concepts, and theories, use various techniques and tools in the lab and in the field, use the scientific process, employ analytic and problem–solving skills, and apply your skills in real world applications. Following graduation, you could be prepared to work as a laboratory technician or you can transfer for a four–year school to continue working on a bachelor's degree or other advanced degrees in the life sciences.
