Indian Hills has one of the most storied baseball programs of any community college in the nation. IHCC has made 11 trips to the JUCO World Series, including six appearances in a seven–year span.
The Falcons have also been very successful in sending players on to four–year colleges and the professional level. Fifteen former Indian Hills players have played major league baseball and over 100 more ex–Falcons have played in the minor leagues. The latest ex–IHCC player to reach the majors is Irving Falu who was called up by the Kansas City Royals in May after nine seasons in the minors.
The Indian Hills baseball team competes in the five–team Division I ranks of Region 11. The Falcons play their home games at Pat Daugherty Field and have their indoor facilities (including a weight room, batting cages and pitching mounds) in the Multipurpose Building on the Indian Hills Centerville Campus, where the program began nearly half a century ago.
The Falcons play a two–month fall schedule. Their spring campaign has begun with a trip to Arizona for the past half–dozen years. Upon their return from Arizona, IHCC plays a full schedule against teams for Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.
