Sometimes, even during a global pandemic, community members and local business owners come together to solve a need. That’s exactly what has happened over the past six months in Centerville, Iowa. On Monday, March 15, Indian Hills Community College and First Street Development signed an agreement for the construction of Traxler Hall, a new residence hall, on the Centerville Campus.
On Friday, April 23, 2021, sparks were flying at Indian Hills North Campus during the annual High School Welding Career Academy Competition. 77 students from 4 high school career academies had the opportunity to show their welding skill and knowledge to a panel of judges and instructors from 9:00am to 11:30am.

Indian Hills Community College is one of 20 recipients of a U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps Scholars Program grant. Indian Hills, the only Iowa Community College to receive the grant, will receive nearly $1.2 million over the course of the three-year grant.
