How is the program instruction delivered?
A facilitated method of teaching is utilized, allowing flexibility for the student.
This teaching method allows a student with a full-time or part-time job to attend
classes at his or her best time. The student is responsible for completing the work
in a timely manner with the facilitator assisting as needed. The class and lab areas
are available 9am – 6pm Monday through Thursday. The student can set their class
time based on their schedule and receive one-on-one assistance from the instructor
when needed.
What is Electromechanical Technology?
Electromechanical Technology is the study of safety, electricity, fluid power (hydraulic
– pneumatics), mechanical drives, motor control and programmable logic controllers.
This technology prepares the student for an entry-level position in the maintenance
field.
How long will it take to complete this program?
If you are completing the Electromechanical Technician (Diploma) the coursework will
span 3 terms. If you are completing the Electro Mechanical Technology (A.A.S) program
the coursework will span 6 terms.
