Moving to ANGEL (MyHills) 7.2

Indian Hills recently upgraded to the newest version of ANGEL (the software that runs MyHills) and there are some changes in the way a number of the tools work.

instructors should check all materials housed on MyHills to ensure that everything is intact and functioning properly. This especially includes all "actions" that have been set up in courses.

Some highlights:

* There are a number of changes in 7.2 in regard to how things are named or where the tools are found. For example, the "Actions" tool (which allows one to set certain actions on the part of the student to trigger access to new areas or events) is now called "Automate." Also, new "Quizzes" will now be called "Assessments."

* Several new features have been added (e.g., easier access to the text editor options - similar to MS Word - for adding links, italics, bold, etc.). New capabilities for blogging, using wikis, and podcasting are also integrated into 7.2.

* The Course Mail system has been reworked, enabling easier access to ANGEL/MyHills mail. The interface also more closely resembles standard e-mail programs, which should make it more intuitive for faculty and students.

As a reminder, all support requests for MyHills/ANGEL, Web Advisor, or other technical support can be e-mailed to helpdesk@indianhills.edu or call (641) 683-5333 or (800) 726-2585, ext. 5333.
