Welcome to Online Learning at Indian Hills Community College!

Indian Hills Community College has a robust online learning program. Nearly 150 online courses are offered on subjects in the arts and sciences, advanced technologies, and health occupations, as well as continuing education and developmental courses, with new online courses being developed each term.

In addition to individual online courses, one degree and five diploma programs are now available entirely online: an AAS degree in Health Information Technology and diplomas for Health Unit Coordinator, Medical/Insurance Coding, Medical Transcriptionist, and Microcomputer Specialist.

Also, students can complete Aviation Ground School courses fully online, as part of earning an Aviation Pilot Training degree (AAS). (Note: Additional on-campus courses and advanced flight training are required for the full AAS degree.)

Online courses can be identified in each term's Schedule of Classes by the WWW listed in the course location field.

Tuition

Tuition for all online courses is $118 per credit hour, along with a $5 per credit hour supplementary fee.

How Do I Take An Online Course?

Online courses at Indian Hills are delivered via the Internet through MyHills, (driven by the ANGEL Learning Management Suite). MyHills is an easy-to-use, intuitive interface that allows professors and students to interact, submit and return assignments, hold class discussions, take tests - and virtually anything one would do in a traditional face-to-face class.

We encourage students to work through our Computer Tutorials which demonstrate how to use the various tools in MyHills. The tutorials are available as PDF documents and as Flash Videos. Both walk you through each item in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step manner. The IT Help Desk is also available to assist you.
