1. Where is the Testing Center located?

In Ottumwa, the Testing Center is located on the first floor of Trustee Hall. Contact the staff at 603 Indian Hills Drive, Building 15, Ottumwa IA 52501; 641.683.5142 or 800.726.2585, ext. 5142.

In Centerville, the Testing Center is located in the SUCCESS Center. The address is 721 N. First St., Centerville, IA 52544; and the phone numbers are: 641.856.2143, ext. 2214 or 800.670.3641, ext. 2214.

3. What are the hours the Testing Center is open?

In Ottumwa, the center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; Tuesday from 7:15 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

In Centerville, the center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

4. What kinds of tests are available through the Testing Center?

The Testing Center provides many computerized assessments, including COMPASS, CLEP, aviation exams, EMT/EMS, Lasergrade, Vue, Miller Analogy, and online proctoring for other schools.

In addition, the center provides many paper/pencil exams, including GED, mortuary science, lead testing, aptitude/interest inventories, dental, pesticide, proctoring for other schools, and make-up testing for IHCC courses.

If you don't understand any of the acronyms for the tests, just ask us. We'll be happy to explain what they are.

We are constantly seeking to expand our menu of tests and welcome any inquiries about initiating new testing services.

5. As a faculty member, how do I make my tests available to students at the Testing Center?

On either campus, faculty members are responsible for delivering their tests to the Testing Center and communicating with Testing Center staff regarding any special requirements for students.
