Yes! We actively help our graduates find new positions after they graduate. We use a network of professional contacts across Iowa and the Midwest to help place graduates.
How much does the Medical Transcriptionist program cost?
Tuition is $105 per credit hour (in-state and online) at Indian Hills and Medical Transcriptionist students average 12 credits per term, so your cost would be a little more than $1,200 each term. You should anticipate that books would add another $200-$300 to the total.
Am I eligible for financial aid?
Yes - as long as you are taking at least four credits, you may be eligible for financial aid. Indian Hills also has Foundation scholarships you can apply for. Your first step in getting financial aid begins at www.fafsa.org.
Can I take the entire Medical Transcriptionist program online?
Yes, all of the courses in the Medical Transcriptionist program are offered online. However, you'll be required to do a professional practice component that will require you to spend 200 hours in a health care facility in your area.
Is the Medical Transcriptionist program at Indian Hills accredited?
Yes, Indian Hills Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
