Don't know what you want to be when you grow up? That's okay - you're not alone. The Undecided Focus Area is designed for the student who is unsure about a major at the time of enrollment, but who wishes to pursue a general education that will apply to many major areas. You should use this opportunity to explore a variety of possible academic majors and career possibilities.
Preparation for IHCC
It is recommended that students who are unsure of their major should study a general college preparatory curriculum in high school. You should take four years of English; three years of math, including algebra and at least one other higher level math class; three years of science, including a lab science; and a selection of social sciences, including history. It is also advantageous to have some background in fine arts.
