Social Work Focus Area

This area of concentration provides an excellent foundation if you're interested in transferring to a four-year college to earn a baccalaureate degree with a major in social work. This program equally applies to those students who want to take selected social sciences courses to fulfill general education requirements. The curriculum focuses on social problems by addressing them from various perspectives, including social psychology, diversity, and criminology.

Preparation for IHCC

You should have a strong background in general education. Four years of high school English are highly recommended.
