Machine technology studentThe Machine Technology program will give you a thorough working knowledge of the machinist trade. The first four terms include a study of the five basic machine tools in both theory and shop applications. The final two terms focus on the technological aspects of computer-controlled machines. The program also includes supplemental courses in mathematics, blueprint reading, computer-aided drafting, geometric tolerancing, and communication skills. You'll use skills and training from manual machines, as well as new programming techniques, to program and set up tooling systems on the CNC lathe and mill.
