Social and Digital Media Communications
Social and Digital Media Communications is an Associate of Applied Science Degree Program designed for students who want to combine graphic communication skills in both print and digital formats with marketing and web design skills. Students learn the fundamentals and best practices in graphic design, web design, and social media providing them with strong technical and graphic communication skills. Students choose one or more area(s) of emphasis in Internet Marketing or Interactive Web.
Students also have the opportunity to complete an internship or service–learning project in the sixth term gaining valuable “real world” experience.
Upon completion of the degree program, students will have created a professional portfolio website showcasing a wide range of print and digital media applications. The program prepares graduates for entry–level employment in areas such as web and graphic design, marketing and communications.
Two separate focus areas are built into the program, allowing students to specialize in their particular areas of interest. Focus areas include:
- Internet Marketing
- Interactive Web
