Focus Area: Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship focus area provides a foundation for you to gain skills that are necessary to successfully open and operate your own business. You will be introduced to the areas of management, marketing, accounting, and finance. You will also learn the steps necessary to start a new business, the skills needed to run a small business, to understand the process of risk management, and to develop a comprehensive business plan. After graduation, you will be prepared to transfer to a four–year school or to start and manage a small business or to grow an existing business.
