The Great Lakes Career Ready Internship Program at Indian Hills Community College will create paid internship experiences for students in Advanced Technology Degree Programs!

Great Lakes Students

 

Thanks to the generosity of the Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates, Indian Hills will be able to fund 46 NEW PAID Internships at local businesses for students with financial need, studying in Advanced Technology Programs at Indian Hills. Student Interns will all be paid $12/hour with a max of 20 hours/week for 180 hours. Students may not exceed 20 hours of employment for any on campus position, including the Great Lakes Career Ready Internship.

 


Requirements & Eligibility:

  1. Must be currently enrolled in a Full-Time IHCC Advanced Technology program.
  2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and demonstrate financial need. (Financial need is calculated as the cost of attendance minus the student’s expected family contribution minus any gift aid the student has received.)
  3. Maintain Title IV Satisfactory Academic Progress.


Note:
High School Students currently enrolled in a Career Academy ATC Program are not eligible.

 


How do I apply for an Internship through the Program?

Before you may apply for one of the internships on the job board below, we must first determine if you are eligible for the program. Follow the steps below to submit an interest application and an Indian Hills representative will then contact you within 3 business days to discuss your eligibility and financial aid award amount.

Step 1: Complete the Student Interest Application.

Step 2: Submit your resume to AJ.Gevock@indianhills.edu.

Step 3: Apply for an Internship from the Great Lakes Student Internship Job Board.

Once your resume and application have been received, you will be notified of your eligibility status via your student email.

(You may not continue to Step 3 until your eligibility and financial need have been determined, and someone from Indian Hills has contacted you.)

 

Step 3: (This is only for students who have been determined as eligible by an Indian Hills Representative.) Students can apply for jobs in their field through the Student Internship Board below. Employers will then contact students directly to setup interviews.
