New Student Orientation
To help you get off to a strong start, all new students, who have applied and been accepted to Indian Hills Community College, are required to participate in a New Student Orientation, prior to registering for courses.
Here are just some of the topics we cover in orientation:
- Academic Advising and Services
- Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Registration and Billing
- Food/Dining Services
- Student Activities/Events
- Student Health
Technology Session: The New Student Orientation also includes a technology session that will walk you through how to use our online services to register for courses, access course materials, order your books online, use your student email, get online tutoring, and much more.
Parent Session: We also have a special session just for parents, held during the technology session, where we share some tips on how you can effectively support your college student, and get answers to your questions.
Recommended Activites: In addition to the required sessions, there are a number of other activities we recommend that you complete, while on campus, including:
- COMPASS Testing
- Campus Tour
- Housing Tour
- Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) Assistance
