Are there jobs in this field? 

Answer:

Every business, school, etc. has employees that are responsible for the office functions of that business.  There are jobs and they can be found locally.

 

Question:

Do I have to be good at math? 

Answer:

Since this is a degree program, there will be a required math course.  IHCC has dedicated tutors and a Success Center, however, to help assure your success.  The accounting courses are not the same as math courses, and your instructors will explain the material in such a way to enable your understanding.

 

Question:

Can I complete any of the courses online?

Answer:

We try to accommodate student needs.  Most courses are available in the classroom and/or online, and independent studies can be set up if needed.

 

Question:

Do the classes have to be taken in the order listed? 

Answer:

There is flexibility in the order courses can be taken, although it is a good idea to plan your courses each term with your instructors.

 

Question:

Are the instructors available to help me outside of class time? 

Answer:

Instructors spend a great deal of time helping students one-on-one, outside of class hours.


Question:

Are there any opportunities for an internship? 

Answer:

Students are encouraged to complete an internship, building experience in a related job, and creating work experience on your resume.
