Earn your Associate's Degree Online

Once accepted to Coast Flight, you can apply to Indian Hills Community College. While progressing through your flight training with Coast Flight, you can earn an accredited, FAA-approvedassociate's degree fully online through Indian Hills.

Thanks to a partnership between Coast Flight and SkyWest Airlines, candidates who pass the prescreening and interview process with Coast Flight are given a conditional offer of employment with SkyWest Airlines, beginning the journey toward becoming a SkyWest First Officer.

Follow these steps to get started today!

  1. Apply to Coast Flight Training
    Once you've been accepted into Coast Flight's “Airline Career Training (ACT)” program, you can apply to Indian Hills Community College.

  2. Apply to Indian Hills Community College
    Fill out our online application and complete the rest of the standard admission process. (Be sure to select the “Aviation Pilot Training” program as your degree.)

  3. Veterans: Contact the Indian Hills Veterans Affairs Office
    Get the help you need to ensure you're making the most of your VA benefits by contacting our Veterans Affairs Office, which stands ready to assist in making your experience as easy as possible.

  4. Register for Courses
    The Registration page has everything you need to get registered for your courses, order your textbooks, and more, along with helpful tutorials to walk you through each step.

  5. Online Learning
    Be sure you have everything you need to succeed as an online student by working through the Online Learning page of our website.


Program Details:

Campus: Online and Coast Flight/San Diego, CA

The Aviation Ground School courses and General Education courses required for your degree are available fully online. However, advanced flight training courses are required for the full A.A.S. degree, and are completed on-site with Coast Flight Training, in San Diego, CA.
Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Terms
Length: 7 terms (21 months) — typical length
