Question:

When do I begin flight training?

Answer:

About 1 to 2 weeks after the start of the first term of the program.

 

Question:

What courses in the program can be taken totally online?

Answer:

Nearly all of the non-flight courses can be taken totally online.

 

Question:

Do classes run during the summer? 

Answer:

IHCC APT program runs on a quarter term system and we expect students to take a full course load in the summer term which generally has good flying weather.

 

Question:

How many times or hours do I fly each week?

Answer:

Typically, you are scheduled for at least 2 flight lessons per week.  Flight lessons are also conducted on Fridays.

 

Question:

Will this program get me what I need to fly for the commercial airlines?

Answer:

The program will help with getting some of the ratings and hours that are needed to fly for the airlines, but the FAA requires 1500 hours and some multi-engine time before being qualified to be hired by the airlines.
