RISE (RAISING INDIVIDUAL STUDENT EXPECTATIONS)

RISE is a 4+ program located at Indian Hills Community College. In conjunction with the student's high school, Indian Hills will continue to provide special education services to fulfill unmet transition needs as identified in the student's IEP.  For more information and to apply, please download the RISE Packet below.

RISE Academy

The RISE Academy is a 4+ program located in Centerville, Iowa at Indian Hills Community College. In conjunction with the student's high school, Indian Hills will continue to provide educational opportunities in the aeras of living, learning, and working to fulfill unmet transition needs as identified in the student's IEP (Individualized Education Plan). Students must be in high school and have a current IEP with unmet transition needs. Students will have the opportunity to explore on and off campus employment. 

This is a Monday through Thursday, one year, residential program that focuses on daily living, self-determination, interpersonal, and employment skills. For more information and to apply, please download the RISEAcademy Application  below.

College Transition Days

Join us! Indian Hills and the RISE program are hosting college transition days. 

Students, parents, and educators will have the opportunity to explore Indian Hills and learn more about beneficial resources including: RISE, Disability Services, Success Center, Vocational Rehabilitation, PACE/GAP and the Ottumwa Job Corps Center. Register by clicking below!
