What career pathways would be available for this degree?

Answer:

There are many paths you could take. Real estate sales and brokerage are the most common. Real estate appraisals of property to determine fair market value is another option. Managing property, either privately or commercially, is another possibility.

Are there specific certifications I will need?


Answer:

You will need to pass specific state-certified tests for a real estate license and for a broker license. You would need a license in each state you would be operating from. Appraisal certification is required to be an approved appraiser.

What are specific skills that would be valuable to have?


Answer:

Good organizational skills are important in all fields of real estate. Interpersonal and communication skills are crucial in the real estate sales area. A strong background in math is also helpful.
