Answer:

Since businesses and non-profit organizations are continuing to grow their use of social media, the job outlook continues to look promising for public relations careers.

Answer:

Important skills include, reading, writing, and listening. A strong understanding of the relationship between business, media and communication is also important. Technical skills in the area of social media will be helpful.

Many public relations jobs involve writing press releases, campaign speeches, newsletters, public service announcements, and media alerts. Therefore, the more writing courses you can take the better. Public speaking courses are also valuable since corporate public relations officers are often called on to be the “voice” of the company.
