The annual Iowa Health Educators Conference provides nursing and allied health education professionals with tools and resources to become more effective educators. Whether you are a new or a seasoned educator of health professions, a coordinator, a program director, a department chair or head, or a dean, there will be something for you at the conference.

This year's conference will feature three guest speakers:

• Donna "Iggy" Ignatavicius, RN, MS - an expert in education and medical-surgical nursing
• Janet McMahon, RN, BSN, MSN - a consultant and speaker on clinical evaluation of students and mentoring of nursing faculty
• Michelle Deck, RN, BSN, M.Ed., LCCE, FACCE - the author of multiple books on the teaching of adults, teaching methods, and teaching tools for healthcare educators

On Wednesday, June 18, there will be a Pre-Conference Workshop featuring Larry E. Simmons, Director of Research for Educational Resources, Inc. He will conduct two sessions:

• Basic Guidelines for Test Item Writing and Test Construction
• Mapping Your Curriculum to the NCLEX Test Plan

You can attend both days of the conference, one day only, or the pre-conference workshop only. Registration costs are:

Thursday's registration includes the banquet that evening from 6:30 to 8:30, with speaker Michelle Deck.

Continuing Education Hours and Contact Hours will be awarded for attendance.

If you are selecting more than one option (e.g., Pre-Conference Workshop and Thursday/Friday Sessions), you will need to click the Continue Shopping button to return to this page until you have made all of your selections. When you are finished, review the shopping cart and click the green Check-Out button.
